This is the truth: You matter to Jesus. Yes, you do. God’s love for you does not require worldly qualifications. He has called your name so that you may come to Him. He desires to be with you. Read verse 12 again. This is not just a story. It is a powerful confirmation of Jesus’ love and promise for each of His people. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus never abandons His sheep.
There are times when we may feel like the wandering sheep, lost and unsure of our way. But remember this: You are never forgotten. You are very precious to Jesus. He cares just as much for the one who is lost as He does for the ninety-nine who remain with Him (v.13). So today, draw near to Him.
