Day 34 in Lent: Where He Wills
I shall make a covenant of peace with them, an eternal covenant with them. I shall resettle them and make them grow; I shall set my sanctuary among them for ever. I shall make my home above them; I shall be their God, and they will be my people. -Ezek. 37:26-27
God cannot be fully understood or grasped by the human mind. Any attempt to explain or define where and how God is present risks distorting the truth. Faith does not mean claiming special knowledge about God’s actions, but trusting that God has not abandoned us and calls us even amid life’s confusion and suffering. God is free and cannot be confined by human concepts or expectations.
Even when we make space for God, it is God who comes in his own time. What sustains us is the promise of his love. Therefore, our life becomes one of patient, hopeful waiting—open to surprise, joy, and gratitude when God reveals himself.
Our Prayer:
O God, we are the heirs of the covenant you made with our ancestors when you told Abraham, “All the nations of the earth will be blessed in your descendants.” It was for us that you raised up your servant Jesus and sent him to bless us. – After Acts: 3:25-26
