(Brown Worship)
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. He renews my strength. He guides me in righteous paths for His name’s sake.” (Psalms 23:1-3, NIV)
The word to note here is the word “again” in the NIV phrase “restores my strength.” “Restores” is a word that opens up possibilities.
A new person refers to someone who lives “again” with faith in Jesus. Even today, God’s dream is being fulfilled ‘again’ on this earth through ‘people who live like Jesus.’
Jesus, I have ‘taken off my shoes again.’
Now I will stand on the land you have given me.
With Your will, fulfilled in heaven, in my heart,
I will flow like a priming water into history.
Jesus, I have ‘again’ raised my hand.
Now I will walk the path you have given me.
With Your will, given in flesh and blood, in my heart, I will serve ‘again’ as bread in the world. Give me the wisdom to live ‘again’ with the faith of Jesus.
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He renew my strength. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names sake.(Psalms 23:1-3)
