아이티!! 위험한 나라인데도, 그 중에서도 특별히 위험하고 가난한 지역인 시테 쏠레이라는 곳 안에서도 더 열악한 쓰레기마을 “투르찌에”. 이곳에 한국의 월드쉐어가 무료학교와 무료급식을 하고 있고 제가 지부장으로 이 일을 섬기고 있습니다. 그런데, 이곳에는 저희 무료학교에도 오지 못하고 하루종일 쓰레기를 뒤져서 플라스틱을 찾아내는 아이들이 있습니다. 부모들이 아이들을 남에게 줘버리거나 팔아서 결국은 이곳에 이르러 하루종일 메케한 쓰레기 타는 연기속에서 영양실조와 질병에 시달립니다.
이 아이들에게 먹을것도 못주는게 너무 맘에 걸려서 이번에 저희 교회와 함께 과자봉지들을 나눠주었는데 너무 많은 아이들이 쓰레기 더미에서 일하고 있어서 놀랐고, 옷도 제대로 못입고, 신발도 제대로 없는 아이들이 많아서 놀랐습니다. 삼백명정도 되는 것 같습니다. 그런데, 이 아이들 사진들을 보면서 마음아파하는 저에게 주님께서 갑자기 이 아이들도 먹이고 교회를 열어 영적으로도 먹이라는 말씀을 주셨습니다. 갱들이 점령해서 학교에 먹을것을 전해주는 것도 큰 호흡으로, 그리고 믿음으로 하고 있는데, 게다가 교회를 세워 이 아이들에게 영적인 것도 먹이라 하시네요. 주여!!

Haiti!! It is a dangerous country but especially a more hazardous and poor garbage village: Truitier, Cite Soleil. In this place, World Share provides free school and free school meals. However, some children here can’t even come to our free school and search for plastic bottles in the garbage all day. Parents give their children away or sell them to others, and the children end up here and suffer from malnutrition and disease in the smoke of burning garbage all day long.
It always hurt me that I couldn’t give these children food. Last week, my church was willing to give out bags of snacks. During distribution, I was surprised that so many children were working in the garbage dump, and many of them couldn’t dress appropriately and/or have shoes properly. I think it’s about 300 children. With a broken heart, when I looked at the pictures, the Lord suddenly told me to feed these children and open a church to provide them with the Word of God. Gangs took over this place, and delivering food to the school has been difficult. But the Lord asked me to set up a church to feed these children spiritually. Oh, Lord!
