하나님,
우리가 바꿀 수 없는 것은 담담히 수용할 수 있도록 은총 내려 주시고
우리가 바꾸어야 할 것은
변화시킬 수 있는 용기를 주시고
둘 중 어떤 경우인지
분별할 수 있는 지혜도 주옵소서.
하루하루를 소중히 여기며
진지하게 보내게 하시고
순간순간을 누리게 하옵소서.
여러 어려움들을
평강으로 가는 오솔길로 여기게 하시고
죄 많은 세상,
내가 원하는 것만 받아들이지 말고
주님께서 그랬던 것처럼
있는 그대로 끌어안게 하옵소서.
주님의 뜻에 전적으로 맡기면
주께서 모든 것을
잘 되게 하신다는 것을 신뢰하게 하사
이 세상 살아가면서 저희들 그런대로 행복하게 하시고
다음 세계에서는
주님과 함께하는 최고의 행복을
영원히 누리게 하옵소서.
God,
give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed;
courage to change the things that should be changed;
and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next
