Digital Church Planting Training

With the outbreak of COVID-19, churches were forced to adapt rapidly to offering online worship. But many of us still aren’t sure if we have the right equipment or if we are using social media in the most effective way. Many church leaders are also realizing the importance of physically gathering, even in small groups, for fellowship and discipleship, and most of us aren’t sure what to do next.

Path 1 is excited to offer a new training that will equip you to offer an online worship service combined with a house-church network so that you can continue to offer transformative ministry during this season of coronavirus and beyond.

This training is geared toward two primary groups:

Church planters who have been through their “boot camp” and were preparing to launch this fall but now face COVID-19 and possibly more “shelter-in-place” orders over the next twelve months. They are moving away from a physical launch and looking to launch an online faith community that also incorporates a house church or small-group network.
Pastors of mid-sized or large existing churches that want to start an online campus to multi-site in a digital way following the same model of online worship with a small-group or house-church model of fellowship.

This training will walk you through digital planting, from how to create a budget and social media plan to how to host engaging online worship and structure a house-church network.

Speakers include Nona Jones, Global Head of Faith-Based and Diverse Partnerships at Facebook, along with Elaine Heath, co-founder of the Missional Wisdom Foundation and Neighborhood Seminary, and Mark DeYmaz, co-founder of the Mosaix network.

The cost is $200 per planter. Zoom webinars with speakers will be held every Tuesday from August 4 to September 8 from 1-3 p.m., CDT. Each webinar will include a time for Q&A and cohort discussion groups following the webinars.

Each webinar speaker will contribute resources to a “digital bundle” that will be shared during their webinar and distributed via email following the final webinar on September 8. These resources range from workbooks to articles, podcasts to PowerPoint presentations, but all resources will enable you to continue learning in each of the twelve topic areas.
