Psalms 121:1-8
“A Song of the elevation,
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains,
From where shall come my help?
My help comes from יהוה who made heaven and the earth,
He will not allow you to be moved,
this one who guards you.
Behold not shall He that guards you sleep, neither shall He slumber the one guarding Israel in the night.
The LORD (יהוה), the One guarding you, is your shadow, ]He] is your right hand.
By day, the sun will not smite you, nor will the moon by night.
The LORD (יהוה) will guard you from all evil,
He shall guard your soul in your going out and in your coming in from not and forever”.
This fragment contains almost a complete column from the Psalms. We see a little deterioration on the left side. While we see several of the older spelling variants, we also see a few word variants; these have been noted in white text. The variants do not seem to impact the translation as compared to our modern texts. The missing text has been compared to other known texts and filled in. Additionally, we see His name, יהוה, written in Paleo script.
