Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia)

Welcome to the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia)

In a world increasingly shaped by rapid change, global interdependence, technological transformation, and complex societal challenges, the need for effective leadership, constructive dialogue, and innovative approaches to conflict engagement has never been greater. PACSC Asia was established in response to these realities—to serve as a platform where scholarship, practice, education, and public engagement come together to address the challenges and opportunities of our time.

Located in Songdo, South Korea, and affiliated with George Mason University Korea and the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, PACSC Asia seeks to connect scholars, practitioners, policymakers, students, and community leaders from around the world. Through research, training, dialogue, and collaborative problem-solving initiatives, we aim to strengthen the capacity of individuals, organizations, and communities to address complex local, regional, and global issues.

Our work extends beyond traditional approaches to conflict resolution. We are committed to advancing leadership development, peacebuilding, governance, diplomacy, organizational effectiveness, and cross-cultural engagement while fostering innovative responses to emerging challenges in an increasingly interconnected world. By bridging academic knowledge and practical application, we strive to create meaningful and sustainable impact across diverse sectors and communities.

A central priority of PACSC Asia is preparing the next generation of leaders. Through experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and engagement with real-world challenges, we seek to equip students, professionals, and practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to lead effectively in complex international and multicultural environments.

We are grateful for your interest in PACSC Asia and invite you to join us as we work together to promote constructive engagement, strengthen leadership, advance innovative solutions, and contribute to more peaceful, resilient, and cooperative societies throughout Asia and beyond.
