Invitation to Holy Communion / 성찬으로의 초대

그리스도께서는 이 예배당을 훨씬 넘어 펼쳐져 있는 식탁으로 우리를 초대하십니다. 오늘,
세계성찬주일을 맞아 우리는 전 세계의 예수님을 따르는 이들과 함께 모였습니다. 수많은 민족과
문화, 다양한 언어로, 저마다 다른 전통 속에서 예배하지만, 우리 모두는 동일한 은혜로
환영받으며 하나의 식탁 둘레에 둘러서 있습니다. 여기서 우리는 우리가 그리스도께 속해 있을
뿐 아니라, 서로에게 속해 있음을 기억합니다. 모든 것을 다 이해하고 깨닫지 않아도 괜찮습니다.
완전한 믿음을 갖추지 않았어도 괜찮습니다. 오직 그리스도께서 값없이 거저 주시는 은혜를 향해
열린 마음 하나만 가지고 나오시면 됩니다. 그러니 오십시오. 오셔서 생명의 떡을 받으십시오.
오셔서 은혜의 잔을 나누십시오. 오십시오, 그리스도께서 식탁을 준비하셨으며 바로 여러분을
위한 자리가 여기에 마련되어 있습니다.
Christ invites us to a table that stretches far beyond this sanctuary. Today, on World Communion
Sunday, we gather with followers of Jesus around the world—people of many nations and cultures,
speaking many languages, worshiping in many traditions—yet all welcomed by the same grace and
gathered around the same table. Here we remember that we belong not only to Christ, but to one
another. You do not need to have everything figured out. You do not need to have perfect faith. You
need only come with a heart open to the grace Christ freely gives. So come. Come and receive the bread
of life. Come and share the cup of grace. Come, for Christ has prepared the table, and there is a place
here for you.
The Great Thanksgiving / 성찬 감사 기도

People: And also with you.
Leader: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them up to the Lord.
Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Almighty God,
creator of heaven and earth.

주님께서는 말씀으로 온 세상을 창조하시고, 그 안에 생명의 약속을 심으셨습니다. 주님의
형상대로 우리를 빚으시며, 주님과 그리고 서로와 더불어 깊은 사귐 가운데 살아가도록
부르셨습니다. 우리가 주님을 떠나 등을 돌렸을 때에도, 주님의 사랑은 언제나 변함이
없으셨습니다. 거듭하여 예언자들과 교사들을 보내사 백성들 가운데 주님의 말씀을 흩뿌려
주셨고, 우리를 정의와 자비, 그리고 신실함의 삶으로 다시 불러주셨습니다.
You spoke creation into being and planted within it the promise of life. You formed us in your image and
called us to live in communion with you and one another. When we turned away, your love remained
steadfast. Again and again, you sent prophets and teachers, scattering your Word among your people,
calling us back to lives of justice, mercy, and faithfulness.

And so, with your people on every continent, with Christians gathering at tables large and small, and
with all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

거룩하신 주님, 주님의 말씀이 육신이 되신 예수 그리스도는 복되십니다. 예수님은 주님 나라의
기쁜 소식을 선포하셨고, 세상이 외면한 이들을 따뜻이 맞아들이셨으며, 굶주린 이들을
먹이시고, 상처 입은 자들을 고치셨습니다. 또한 우리가 주님의 은혜를 받아들여 세상 속에서 그
열매를 맺도록 가르치셨습니다. 고난과 죽음, 그리고 부활의 세례를 통하여 주님께서는 교회를
낳으셨고, 죄와 죽음의 멍에에서 우리를 구원하셨으며, 물과 성령으로 우리와 새로운 언약을
맺으셨습니다.
예수님께서 우리를 위해 자신을 내어주시던 그 밤에, 떡을 들어 감사 기도를 드리시고, 떼어
제자들에게 주시며 말씀하셨습니다.
“받아 먹으라. 이것은 너희를 위해 내어주는 내 몸이니, 나를 기억하여 이를 행하라.”
저녁 식사를 마친 후 잔을 들어, 감사 기도를 드리시고, 제자들에게 주시며 말씀하셨습니다.
“너희는 다 이것을 마시라. 이것은 죄 사함을 얻게 하려고 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는 나의 피, 곧
새로운 언약의 피니라. 너희가 이것을 마실 때마다 나를 기억하여 이를 행하라.”
Holy are you, and blessed is Jesus Christ, your Word made flesh. He proclaimed the good news of your
kingdom, welcomed those whom others pushed aside, fed the hungry, healed the broken, and taught us
to receive your grace and bear its fruit in the world. By the baptism of his suffering, death, and
resurrection, you gave birth to your church, delivered us from slavery to sin and death, and made with
us a new covenant by water and the Spirit.
On the night in which he gave himself up for us, Jesus took bread, gave thanks to you, broke the bread,
gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in
remembrance of me.”
When the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks to you, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Drink
from this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the
forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and
thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the
mystery of faith:
Christ has died;
Christ is risen;
Christ will come again.

이곳에 모인 우리 위에, 그리고 여기에 드려진 떡과 잔 위에 주님의 성령을 부어 주옵소서. 이
예물이 우리를 위해 그리스도의 몸과 피가 되게 하시고, 우리가 그분의 피로 구속받아 세상을
향한 그리스도의 몸이 되게 하옵소서. 주님의 성령으로 말미암아 우리가 그리스도와 하나 되게
하시고, 서로 하나 되게 하시며, 그리스도께서 최종 승리로 다시 오시어 천국 잔치에 참여하는
그날까지 온 세상을 향한 사역 속에서 하나가 되게 하옵소서.
세계성찬주일을 맞이하여, 주님께서 주님의 교회를 향해 원하시는 온전한 일치를 이 식탁을
통하여 나타내어 주옵소서. 분열이 있는 곳에 화해를 심으시고, 미움이 있는 곳에 사랑을
심으시며, 절망이 있는 곳에 소망을 심어 주옵소서. 온 세계에 흩어진 주님의 백성들을 통하여
정의와 자비, 그리고 평화의 풍성한 열매를 맺게 하여 주옵소서.
Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and cup. Make them be for us
the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood.
By your Spirit, make us one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until
Christ comes in final victory and we feast at the heavenly banquet.
On this World Communion Sunday, make visible through this table the unity you desire for your church.
Where there is division, sow reconciliation. Where there is hatred, sow love. Where there is despair,
sow hope. And through your people throughout the world, bring forth an abundant harvest of justice,
mercy, and peace.

Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy church, all honor and glory is yours,
